Poll: Trump Pulls Ahead in GA
Our most recent poll in Georgia shows Trump pulling away from Clinton in the race for President. While the two candidates were tied in last month’s survey, recent press coverage appears to have had an effect on Clinton’s lead over independent voters.
Johnson maintains a solid showing of double-digit support, due in part to his relatively hearty numbers from younger voters.
In the race for Senate, incumbent Republican Johnny Isakson maintains a comfortable 13-point lead over Democratic challenger Jim Barksdale.
In other news, we asked Trump supporters the following question: “In several media outlets across the country, Donald Trump has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, recently calling him a ‘strong leader.’ What is your opinion of Donald Trump’s position?”
The results were… interesting:
Likewise, we asked Clinton supporters the following: “It was recently reported that Hillary Clinton contracted pneumonia while on the campaign trail. In the unlikely event that Clinton were unable to continue campaigning, who do you believe the Democratic National Committee should select to replace Secretary Clinton, given the choice of Vice President Joe Biden or Senator Bernie Sanders?”
The results were less surprising if you followed the Democratic primary results in the South:
