Poll: Dead Heat in Georgia
In our latest poll of likely Georgia voters, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are tied in the race for President.
730 respondents answered the poll, carrying a margin of error of +/- 3.6%. The results are very similar to our latest poll in Florida, where Clinton led by 1%.
Elsewhere in the crosstabs, we see that…
|Clinton wins:||Trump wins:|
|Minority voters (all of them)||White voters|
|<45 YO cohorts||>45 YO cohorts|
|84% of Democrats||76% of Republicans|
|37% of Independents||36% of Independents|
|Metro Atlanta||All other regions|
Johnson had a particularly solid showing in this poll, garnering 11% of the total vote and 25% of independents.
We also asked Georgians whether they believe the election could be “rigged.” The results were surprising:
|What do you believe is the likelihood that the US presidential election could be “rigged,” where one candidate is declared the winner of a state, when in reality the opposing candidate received more votes?|
While it is extremely unlikely that a presidential election would be rigged in any way, voters nonetheless are skeptical, likely thanks in part to Donald Trump’s recent insinuations.
